Summer learning journey (10 food items for travel)

If I was going on a three week journey on a boat I would take Apples and oranges to keep me healthy, Tuna and baked beans for dinner( I will have to take a can opener to open the beans), Chips in a packet with some chocolate, A packet of sultanas, Crackers with peanut butter spread, And finally peaches. 

Long Labour weekend

Today is Tuesday. Yesterday was Labour day. It was so fun. We watched the Lion King. It was a bit sad when Mufasa dies. My mum did lots of gardening😅. She also read us Harry Potter and the chamber of secrets📘. We're about halfway through the book. We are so happy that we are at school. We did a maths test today. I was the second one finished. I am going to go to music and learn the keyboard at Otaki collage. I will get to see Mason there too.😀 

This week

This week I've learnt lots of stuff! It is Niue language week. We did a slide show about it. We had to go on google and search up stuff like this, there are 1,628 people in Niue. 
We also did some violin with Fran on Thursday. We learnt what the strings are. It was from 10:20-10:50.🕙
We also started a new chapter chat and the book is Ghost. Its about a boy named Castle. He names himself Ghost. He wants to be part of the defenders.(Running team.) One of the activities is "you have to draw a team flag for the defenders". Another activity is "to research world records and make a slide show.
I really liked learning this week.😃

My Holiday

In the school holidays it was my ninth birthday. My party was on Friday. I invited my friends Kaia.H, Kaia.R, Otoha, Mion and Emma-rose. We went to flip city. It's this big trampoline park. I tried so hard to get up the two metre wall but I couldn't. Kaia.H could get up the wall. After we had our turn on the trampolines we ate dominoes pizza. It was so yum!!!!! After the pizza we had something from our snack bags. We had chocolate cake with an m&m nine on the top.🎂 Next we did the presents.🎁 On Saturday it was my proper birthday. I got the Harry potter the great hall Lego. I also got a big cat puzzle from my mum and dad. My birthday was the best.😄

Today I went to school.(I was really late.) We did fitness. I was really puffed of doing reverse shuttle runs and some normal shuttle runs. At morning tea I went to the basket swing. Other people went on the basket swing and I ran under the basket swing and sat down under it and it all most touched my head. At lunch I played numbers with Mason🍔. I really like Mondays.

Hi me again. I just want to tell you about my      week. 📆 It has been going great because after school today I'm having a sleep-over with Otoha and Mion.💤 It is going to be really fun.

New chapter chat

 Pro non dae. My name is Carys.

 On Monday we started a new chapter chat. The   book our class is reading is Because of Winn -   Dixie. At the start of the book it was really   funny. There are eight tasks and we at lest need   to do five tasks. I have done six tasks and just   started one. My favourite one is make your own   3D model of Winn - Dixie. My one has big ears   and a small body and a medium sized head.   Now  I'll tell you a bit about the story so far....   At the start Opal went to the shop called Winn - Dixie. In the shop she heard fruits and vegetables crashing to the ground. Then the manager said " get that dog out of this shop right now". Then the dog came round the corner and tried to jump on the manager. The manager said " call the pound" . Opal interrupted the manager and said " that's my dog" . She didn't want that dog to go to the pound. Then she said the name that came straight to her head. " Here Winn - Dixie". The dog came trotting  towards her. They are best of friends. She asked her dad if they could have a dog. Her dad said " yes". Opal really wants to know about her mother because she left when she was little. So her dad said ten things about her mum. Opal write down all the things her dad said. Then she went to the town library with Winn - Dixie. They met Opal's friend Miss Franny Block. Opal had to leave Winn - Dixie outside because dogs were not aloud in the library. Miss Franny Block thought Winn - Dixie  was a bear. Then Opal said " that's not a bear it's a dog". Then Miss Franny Block told Opal a story about how a bear came into the library.   

Dance for fancy dress

 Today we learnt a dance for the fancy dress party   at Nga Purapura at 6:00. Our class and room 6   are doing a dance called Virginia Reel. My   partner is a boy and his name is Lance. We   practised in the hall. We had groups of six. The   people in my group are Me, Lance, Maapihi,   Kupa, Devon and Elisa. I'm so excited.

Today we learnt about wells. Our teacher was wondering why our principal put a well on a app.  We were thinking that it's unfair that people have to walk a few miles just to get water. That's why we're so lucky to have a tap. If we didn't have any water we would die because there would be no food, animals there'll be nothing.

    
               

Fantastic Mr.Fox

 Kia ora my name is Carys. This is my first               Blog. Chapter chat is were you read books             and read a chapter every day.                                 The book that we're learning about is                       fantastic Mr Fox. The book is about six                   Foxes and three bad men. There names are             Boggis, Bunce and Bean. One fat, one short           and one lean. They wanted to get Mr Fox                 because he was so smart at stealing their                 food. 😀
